Here is my latest illustration (all photoshop). I wanted to render the exact mood of a dream (very definite atmosphere, but also quite evanescent... not simple). would like to know your feelings when you look at this image.

Cyberspleen

in this personal work I wanted to create a quite particular environment, a graphic picture, very contrasted, enough simple in its composition. The back-light is deliberated, I clearly wanted that the woman's face remains in the shadow, suggested, almost ghostly. she feels sad, this means that she has feelings, so she is human! this human feeling to which we try to identify us is "parasitized" by the cold light of this disinfected environment, "dehumanized", devoid of any human sign to comfort us. In this dark future the human being is not more than a prosthesis of the technology, which he undergoes. This illustration is thus Cyberpunk in the symbolic content, but not in the "form".... i hope to be understood.
all is photoshop
For the French-speaking people, here the explanation, Certainly closer to what I wanted to say than the english version:

still life study

(It's not a paintover/retouched photo, i didn't use any photo reference... >> http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3450/tofowip2sbre6gu.jpg)
This is a still life study realized with the intention of to perfect my "eye" and my perception of the colors/tones/contrasts/etc (it's my first still life study since the ending of my student life). At first i wanted to make an Oil painting, but computer is sometimes more practical.
It takes me a lot of time, however i can't say how many hours.... Photoshop, with the model at the right of my screen.
